About Us
In anticipation of the 200th anniversary of the first print run of Pugin’s renowned plates from Examples of Gothic Architecture, architecturalprints.co.uk has passionately restored, updated, and reimagined all three volumes of this iconic collection. These illustrations, pivotal to the Victorian Gothic Revival, served as a foundational reference for over a century.
Over several dedicated years, twelve artists and seventeen sculptors poured their talents into the creation of over 180 meticulously drawn and engraved copper plates, capturing the essence of the admired Gothic architectural style of the time.
Now, tailored for contemporary interiors, these architectural prints effortlessly complement any room or business space. Whether it's a living room, home office, board room, lobby, home kitchen, or set with a blend of traditional and modern styles, these exquisite prints are a must-have for those with a scholarly eye and a fine taste for interior decoration.
Architecturalprints.co.uk has created an exclusive lithographic edition, limited to just 500 prints of the first 24 plates of volume 1, the Oxford Colleges. Each print is produced on a high-quality 170gsm ivory A3 paper and is set within an ivory mount, backing board and cellophane envelope. The prints also come with two seals of authenticity. Each print is individually numbered by hand, such as "No. 1 of Five Hundred." This high-quality, limited-edition artwork is priced at £200.
But why stop there? Embracing modern paper sizes and ratios, the digital versions of all 180 prints (excluding the Oxford Colleges) are available in striking black and white, soft pastel shades, and bold pink and black. These come to you unmounted in postal tubes. Priced at just £50 for A3, £100 for A2, £200 for A1, and £300 for A0. These bold prints are designed to make a statement in any home, office, or large corporate space. Each digital print also includes two seals of authenticity of the esteemed Victorian architects Augustus Welby Pugin and his father Augustus Charles Pugin and is printed on 170gsm matt paper.
