The Parsonage House in Burnham Thorpe was the rectory house where Admiral Lord Nelson was born. Here are some interesting facts: - The original rectory was located on a different site from the current Parsonage House. - It was the home of Reverend Edmund Nelson, Lord Nelson’s father, who served as the rector of Burnham Thorpe. - The house was demolished in 1802, the same year the current Parsonage House was built.
